2. What information we collect

We only collect personal data that you actively give us. We do not build profiles, and we do not collect anything in the background as you browse. Specifically:

• Contact enquiries. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address and any details you include in your message so we can reply to you.
• Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe to “The Recognition”, we collect your email address so we can send you the newsletter.

Your web browser and our hosting provider may also process standard technical information (such as your IP address) to serve the site securely — this is a normal part of how any website works and is not used by us to identify or track you.

3. How we use your information & our legal basis

Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your data. We rely on the following:

• To respond to your enquiry — our legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch, and taking steps to enter into a contract at your request.
• To send you our newsletter — your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use cookies, and it does not use any analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. There are no Google Analytics, tag managers, advertising pixels, session recorders, or similar tools on this site. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required, and there is nothing for you to accept or decline.

If this ever changes — for example if we introduce analytics in future — we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any such technology loads.

5. Third-party services we use

To run the site and handle your messages, we rely on a small number of reputable third-party providers. Where these providers process your data, they act as our processors or as independent controllers under their own privacy terms:

• Web3Forms — delivers the contact form and newsletter submissions to our inbox. It processes the details you enter into those forms.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used across the site. When a page loads, your browser requests these fonts from Google, which involves sharing your IP address with Google.
• Cloudflare (cdnjs) — delivers open-source code libraries used for animation and interactive effects.
• Our hosting provider — stores and serves the website files.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved data transfer mechanisms) as set out in their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep contact enquiries only as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
