About the studio
We make the
familiar feel
inevitable.
Rekognition is a strategy-led branding studio in the UK. Since 2025 we've helped founders,
challengers and established names become brands their audiences can't overlook.
Our story
How Rekognition began.
It started with one person, a hard reset, and a belief that ambitious businesses
deserve the kind of branding usually reserved for the big names.
01
Meet Flowers
Hi, I'm Flowers, well, that's what everyone calls me. My full name is Nathan Flowers,
and I've spent over 14 years in the branding and design industry. After leaving
university I got stuck straight in and quickly fell in love with the nuances of design:
coming up with new concepts, solving problems, and seeing an idea come to life.
02
A cog in the machine
I had an important role to play, but it was easy to feel like a cog in a machine. I
loved communicating, I loved problem-solving, and I loved helping businesses move
forward. Over time, though, things became repetitive. I had worked a few roles since
university and eventually secured a senior position towards the end of 2019.
03
Then 2020 happened
The company I was with was hit hard by the Covid lockdowns, and like so many people,
it forced me to stop and take a hard look at where I was going. It was an uncertain
time, and if I'm honest, I didn't have all the answers. So it sent me on a bit of a
soul-searching journey.
04
The moment it clicked
After travelling and taking the time to understand myself, I met so many small
businesses that just didn't understand marketing, and it clicked. They had incredible
products, services and ideas, but often didn't have the resources to build the kind of
brand that could truly represent them. I had seen how hard it can be for smaller
businesses to compete.
05
Why I built Rekognition
That's when I realised what I wanted to build. I created Rekognition to give small and
ambitious businesses access to the strategic thinking, creativity and quality that was
traditionally reserved for much larger corporate clients. During lockdown, small
businesses were eradicated by a lack of marketing and branding, and by financial
mistakes. We want to change the way it works.
06
More than a logo
We don't just create logos. We help you understand your brand: what makes you
different, who you're speaking to, and why people should choose you. We combine brand
strategy, creative direction and design to build brands that are recognised for what
they do. That's where I believe we can make a real difference.
07
Fewer expensive mistakes
We help you avoid the expensive mistakes that come from trying to figure everything out
yourself. We give you the clarity to stop second-guessing every marketing decision, the
strategy to create consistency, and the confidence to present your business properly.
That means you can spend less time worrying about your brand and more time doing what
you do best, building your business.
08
A small, senior team
I've built a small team of talented industry professionals who bring years of
experience to the table. By combining their expertise with smarter systems and
efficient processes, we're able to keep things more accessible without compromising on
the quality of the work.
09
The feeling behind the label
When a client tells me they've been introduced to their own brand by a friend or family
member, I ask what their response was. They usually answer in disbelief: "I've seen it
everywhere." Branding isn't just a logo or a consistent set of colours. It's the feeling
behind the label, putting the passion of what you created to the forefront in a subtle way.
I know what it's like to question whether you're doing enough. I've been there myself,
wrestling with imposter syndrome and wondering whether the things I'd learned could really
make a difference. I want to help good businesses believe in themselves a little more, see
the potential in what they've built, and create a brand they're
proud to put their name behind.
“Rekognition is earned, not deserved.”
